Easy class, sometime a little bit too easy and boring, during which we would just watch videos the entire time followed by a very short discussion, then he would let us out on average 15 minutes early. Attendance is kind of required during the class, even though there are no points given for it. Over the entire semester, I would estimate I did maybe 3 hours maximum of real, focused work. You can't go wrong with taking Tablante, it will be dead easy, you will not be challenged that much and there's nothing much to say.

Awesome class and professor! We spend most of the time watching and discussing videos, which is engaging and usually pretty fun. homework is super minimal, usually only two quizzes per week (they are like two questions and take 5 mins to complete). the exams are very fair and as long as you go to class and pay attention, you should be completely fine. he is a great professor and makes the content interesting to learn about. he seems to really care about his students which i appreciated throughout the semester. overall, i really recommend him and this course, especially for an easy gen ed!

Super nice professor that can make discussions about zoonotic diseases interesting. Most of the course only consists of lectures and super short quizzes which are a breeze if you attend lecture. The course can require a decent amount of time closer to the end of the semester but the take-home second midterm and the final project/paper are reasonable. I'd recommend taking Dr. Tablante regardless of the class.
