Dr. Thoma is the best! She is not only knowledgeable about the topic, but she is passionate as well. The actual content in the class is pretty interesting. It can get boring at times, but overall, very digestible content. Thoma is a kind human being and very approachable. Exams are easy and there is a group project at the end that is also easy. Easy grader, but the TA might be harsh depending on who you have. For the project, this class felt like a high school group project--very chill and simple. I cannot recommend Dr. Thoma more--best professor that I have taken in college so far! |

I loved this class! It was so fascinating, and she is an amazing professor. We had four assignments worth a lot of points, two exams, and a group project. The exams are all online in a lockdown browser in class. There are lots of participation credit opportunities, so go to class!!! There are a few fascinating guest lectures, and all the information is relevant and current to life and current events. I would recommend this class a million times more, especially if you are someone who is curious about maternal and child health, all things pregnancy, birth control, infant health, and safe pregnancies. |

Very sweet professor, she will set you up for success. She never was harsh with her grading or gave away too much coursework. Her assignments were challenging but not stressful. I was introduced to a lot of good resources in this class and learned the most relevant stuff I'll need going forward in my life as a healthcare professional. She makes a lot of her own graphics, and they're very smooth, which is all very impressive. I literally cannot think about any drawbacks regarding her class. |
