I never attended a single lecture. Only lab once a week and those were free points. I never studied for a single exam, it is in person but online on canvas and open note. Easiest A+ of my life and never even had to attend any lectures or do any work. |

he is a great guy and lecturer, though I must admit I skipped class most weeks. this is because I was able to keep up through him posting lecture slides online, and doing the required readings + documentaries. going to lab is necessary of course, but my labs pretty much always ended early/never were actually two hours and were not too challenging for me as a non-stem major. I'm definitely glad I took this to get my DSNL out of the way! |

I took this class to fulfill my lab requirement and enjoyed it for the most part. I really loved the lab and felt that I learned the most from them. I would say that the tests aren't always super straightforward and you should make sure to have all of your notes organized and correct. Overall would reccomend taking the class for the content because it's very interesting and the professor is very nice and accommodating. |

This class was stupidly easy - I finished with a 102%. Labs were easy, TA's were helpful and Professor Vilar clearly knows a lot about the subject. He is very much a morning person and was disappointed my class was not, but he still was very friendly and this class was a great way for a non-stem major to get their DNSL credits. Would recommend! |

ANTH222 was not just an easy A, but a genuinely fun class as well. Dr. Vilar is a great lecturer, exuding kindness and warmth. Going to lecture is pretty necessary, but if you pay any bit of attention, you'll score high on the exams. |

I took him over the winter semester for anth222. Very friendly guy with a lot to share. His tests are very fair if you pay even a bit of attention in class and the out of class assignments are not very time consuming nor difficult. The labs are mostly just busy work. though |
