This man is so real. He wears SpongeBob shoes. He is passionate about beer and breweries. He also lowkey looks done with everything. Something about him just feels so human. To be fair, he doesn't want his students to struggle at all (I've accepted that we're just dumb). Professor Woehl, who teaches the second half of the course (after Professor Fawole), is clearly knowledgeable and experienced in teaching CHBE101. He answers questions well, and his lectures (which might be a bit fast) are interesting. He's also easy to talk to and willing to help (when he remembers to). However, the TAs feel like they don't exist. CHBE101 doesn't feel like an intro course (in terms of difficulty). It's definitely a weed-out. This course is curved quite a bit, thanks to how hard the exams are. All I can honestly do is laugh at my struggles for choosing chemical engineering. Weekly homework assignments take up some time, but are doable. The cumulative brewery project was challenging but fun. Overall, I can't wait to take his 400-level brewery class in a few years (if I survive until then)!

Spring 2024. -Great at teaching and explaining. -I had a mistake in grading on the quiz, it was super easy to get it corrected. -Weekly homeworks are tough but not impossible. You have 7 days, and are allowed to work with others.

Overall good professor. Reasonable and listens to student's concerns. Provides alot of resources for students to do well. Exams are reflective of what you do in homework and learn in class.
