This is a good course. I learned a lot about image and audio processing in MATLAB, which is a very useful skill. The labs and final project can be pretty interesting depending on which parts you end up working on, since everything is done in teams. Wu is an ok professor. Her voice is kind of annoying, which makes it hard to listen to her lectures. But usually you can just work on other stuff during these lectures anyway, as they don't help too much with the labs. The extra BS work for this course (reports, presentations, documentation) gets really annoying, especially for the final project, so be prepared for that. There is one quiz the entire semester. It is actually kind of difficult, so make sure to study for that. The fact that everything is in teams kind of sucks because you can get stuck with EEs that don't know how to program at all, or people that just don't work. Despite all these cons to this course, they are mostly minor, and the cool projects and subject material in general make up for this. Wu is also pretty good at giving tips for researching and improving on your final project.
