Yumin Yan COMM107 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 01/27/2023	Yumin is very friendly and sweet, her class feels pretty cozy and she makes it easy. She genuinely cares about your wellbeing and will offer tons of help so you can't go wrong. Her feedback for each speech is spot-on and will help you better prepare for the next. The criteria and expectations for each speech and assignment could not be more clear. I don't think there is a better instructor for COMM107
Yumin Yan COMM107 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 12/14/2022	I LOVE here. She is the best professor I have ever had. I am probably the worst public speaker but this class was very easy to get an A in as long as you simply complete your speech. She is so kind and genuinely cares about all her students. All my friends complained about this course with other professors, but with her I have no complaints and hardly no work outside of class. She held many workshops classes that were optional to come to on days we had class so often time class was "cancelled".
Yumin Yan COMM107 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 12/08/2022	An incredibly nice teacher and a relatively easy class. The material is easy to understand and projects are broken down piece by piece and mostly done in class so it's not a huge workload. Yumin is very understanding when things go wrong, a relatively kind grader but definitely knows what she likes and is strict about criteria being met effectively. Definitely recommend her for Comm 107 you will learn a good amount about how to present well without being stressed.
Yumin Yan COMM107 Expecting an A Anonymous 12/05/2022	She is sooooo good! She makes class so much more bearable. My other friends would always complain about the workload for this course with other professors but I never complained. She was very organized and made work so well split up, that most of it you can finish in class and would only spend max 1 hr SOMETIMES to finish up work. She is very understanding and truly cares about all her students. She has workshop days that are not mandatory but allows you to get extra feedback on assignments. Her expectations are very clearly stated, and as long as you hit them, you will get good grades. She gives feedback to everyone before the final deadline for an assignment, ensuring you get a good grade. I truly loved her as a professor and recommend her to everyone possible. If you see her name, Take Her!!!
