This class was a complete nightmare. His lectures were pointless to attend since the content was either irrelevant to the exam or too difficult to understand since it was so theoretical and written in the most illogical way in the worst handwriting. I relied on Justin's notes for the entire course. He had weekly quizzes in lecture that could be on either day, so most people just left after the first 15 minutes. The TA was a blessing though (love you Eric). Discussions had graded group work, which were pretty easy grade boosters. Matlab was extremely hard since we never discussed it in class or did it on the exam, so it was pointless partner work (but at least graded leniently). He did replace your lowest exam grade with your highest, which helped a lot and put a 5% curve on the class. Overall, be prepared to work for your grade, and recommend going with another professor. This is a hard class. |

Pretty hard to understand lectures, not enough practical examples and too much time spent on proofs in class rather than what you will actually be tested on. Expect to teach yourself everything - luckily the TA was the only thing made this class even remotely tolerable |

Easily the worst professor/teacher I have ever had, do not take his 246 course. His lectures are confusing, his notes are sprawled all over the board and his handwriting sucks so it is almost impossible to follow what he is doing. He pretty much just goes over theory the entire lecture, does one simple example at the end and then expects us to know how to solve some ridiculously hard exam problems. If you take his class you will have to teach yourself everything, as his lectures are absolutely pointless. It ended up being way to much for me and I had to take a W. Do yourself a favor and don't take his class. |

His reviews should definitely be higher. He's really nice and doesn't make AMSC460 harder than it needs to be. He's super open to students asking questions, assigns a manageable amount of homework and his exams are definitely fair. I would take this class with him again. |

Very good professor! Some zoom technical difficulties at the start, but his notes are very clear and easy to follow. Fair exams, reasonable amount of homework assigned. Folks say he has a thick accent but I don't find it to be a problem at all |
