Literally the best professor one could ask for. She's super chill, funny, and brings relevant pop culture topics and connects it to the course. The class was super interesting, especially if you find psychology/therapy intriguing. She is very understanding w/ deadlines, assignments, and attending class. You would never feel awkward or stupid asking any questions to her, she was always open to explaining things in different ways and never tries to make you feel dumb. The assignments weren't difficult (1 group presentation, recorded therapy sessions, essay assignments, a few open-note quizzes, etc). You basically get to practice being a therapist and get to understand the interworking of therapy. DON'T trauma dump during this class, it isn't the time or place for that. All students/professors are mandatory reporters in the class and the "therapy sessions" are not run by professionals. I 1000% percent recommend her as a professor and definitely recommend taking this class if you're even a tiny bit interested! |
