This professor is a kind woman. She unfortunately is going through some health issues, however I cannot ignore the fact that the entire class was neglected this semester due to this. She would take weeks to upload slides, she did not curve the exam when the average was a 70, (if you're in HESP you know its usually a minimum of 80 for an average in any HESP class), she has had no leniency with anyone at all. She also claims to care about professionalism mainly and states to give her 24 hours to respond to emails, which is reasonable, except when you make the entire course online and have a project due to 2 days and questions that had still not been answered. She responded to my second email with what I took as attitude, which made her seem unapproachable to me for the remainder of the semester. We have an entire class filled with students who honestly are not confident about the final that we are taking tomorrow, she would not allow the ta to give us the kahoot that she made as study material either. the ta said she would address it to her and the professor sent a tiny one line email in regards to an entire class filled with complaints. This is arguably one of the most important classes for undergrad considering majority of us will go into fields with children, so to be brushed off by her and the entire department is absolutely insane to me. I feel for what she's going through but just because something happened to her does not mean the entire class should suffer as well. |

She is a wonderful professor! She uses multiple ways to convey the material- powerpoints, videos (usually of really cute kids), and "turn and talk." She makes her material relevant and applicable to her students. For example, there were a lot of special education majors in my class (or potential education majors) and she connected what we were learning in class with how we would use it as teachers. She is very nice and genuinely cares about students. She wants you to succeed. |

This was her first year teaching, and she has done an amazing job! She is super engaging and provides interesting examples and stories relating to class material from her personal and work life. She is also super sweet and seems to genuinely care about her students and wants them to do well. |
