The Anacostia Aviary studio is focused on the design of blinds and avian landscapes that enable symbiotic relationships and embodied encounters between birds and humans.This studio will be entirely online. It will include precedent analysis of blinds designed by leading architects; bird behavior mapping; narrative writing from avian perspectives; design of innovative habitat structures; and individual bird blind design projects.
