Professor Williams' class structure is so inherently flawed that it alone makes this class not worth taking. He's a good enough teacher, but that's entirely offset by these issues with the structure: 1. His weekly quizzes have no partial credit and are structured, so you have to get A to get B to get C, and so forth. 2. The TA does not provide feedback on anything you get wrong on the quizzes. 3. He posts uncurved grades in ELMS, and the only surefire way to know your actual grade is when he posts midterm grades and grades before the final. Professor Williams is a nice guy, but when I spoke to him about these facts, what I got was "too bad."

A lot of my classmates had trouble with this course but I found it really managable. There are no HW assingnments, just weekly section quizzes solely based on that week's problem set. You don't get partial credit for your responses but it's really only 2-3 problems you need to memorize how to do per week. I recommend just writing out the questions and simplifying the answers that he posts for them on Elms. Exams are almost exclusively based on these problem sets and the multiple choice questions touch on concepts from class. Exams have a pretty substantial curve which has definitely helped everyone out. As long as you go to class, listen to 50% of the stuff he says/take notes, and study problem sets more heavily you'll do fine in this course. His lectures can be rather boring, but he and his class are really not as bad as everyone made it out to be before I took this course.

Really nice professor and is very straightforward with explanations of the material. She and her TA, Laura, genuinely care about the students and the class doesn't involve too much work. There are two midterms and one final with 6 homework throughout the semester. However, there is no extra credit so definitely do all of the homework to the best of your ability, however, one homework will get dropped. Overall, this class was really interesting and would definitely recommend it.

He's really not as bad as everyone makes him out to be. The exams are extremely fair as long as you actually put in the work to learn the material. If you complete and understand the problem sets, the tests are a breeze because they're practically the same questions with different numbers. He does ramble and will not explain things that are on the problem sets well, but if you are confused and ask a question in lecture, he will explain the concept again. He gives a HUGE curve so if you're someone who usually does a little above average work, you shouldn't have a problem in the class. Shoutout to the TA mike because his reviews compensated heavily for Rob's issues.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! the professor expects you to be able to read his mind and know information he never taught. Tests are impossible and he does not provide help.

Would give 0 stars if i could. Exams are full of trick questions that we never learned and the answer key for the review packets have multiple wrong answers so there's no way to tell if the TA messed up or if you got it wrong because he doesn't explain anything.
