Special Topics in Bioengineering (M.Eng.); Application of Biomaterials

For Master of Engineering students only or with permission of department. Credit will only be granted for BIOE689D or BIOE658D. The primary objective/goal of this course is to provide the tools and foundation necessary for cutting edge biomaterials research and translation into medical device applications. The first half will focus on the fundamentals of materials while the second half will focus on the pertinent biological interactions which critically impact the design and development of biomaterials for clinical use.
