Easily one of my favorite professors at the UMD business school. His accent is charming, he's funny, and he teaches the content rather well. The content in this course can be confusing, but his slides and his explanations make it a lot easier to understand. His lectures are great, and he really wants all of his students to succeed. He is rather no-nonsense, but if you make a solid effort in this class you will be rewarded. He is nice at office hours and will explain topics again for you. |

Fair exams, go to TA office hours for every assignment to make sure you did everything right. There is mandatory attendance, but other than that, I liked this class a lot with Bardossy. You will not regret taking 332 with her. |

Honestly a good professor. The class is not a walk in the park. Bardossy is kind and fun. If you don't like her class, you probably just don't understand the material. I raised my hand, asked questions, and went to office hours. She literally walked me through the assignments sometimes. You have to put in the work. You have to review the slides again and review the examples again. If you can't do that, you're not going to like this class |

BMGT332 Expecting a B- Anonymous 09/26/2023 |
I had to retake this class because of my own fault and got an F, but when I did take it again I got a B- because Ruhi knows what he's doing. His lectures are just for clarifications on things from the book and the book is going to be your best friend. The practice problems are helpful and make sure to pay attention in class because he does call on people, especially if he knows you're not paying attention. Turn that into a learning opportunity however because idk why everyone else is saying he's mean or belittles, he literally does not, but to each their own. I have him for 385 and look forward to each class to learn from him because he's also really funny. |

Only professor for this class and while the material itself was relatively easy the way it is taught makes the difficulty increase substantially. He is is harsh with the way homeworks and projects are graded. He makes you not want to participate in class because of the way he reacts when you ask a question, it feels like he belittles you and makes you feel dumb. |

I took BMGT 332 and BMGT 385 with Professor Ruhi. I think that he is a good professor. He does not reward laziness, so you have to work from day 1 to earn a decent grade for his classes. I do feel like I learned a lot from his classes, and he also will teach you skills that you will use for your professional life. I also liked that he does an exam review for every exam, which from my experience is very similar to the actual exam. He might sound rude at times, but don't take it personal, that is just his personality. BTW, go to office hours with him because the TAs suck. Peace! |

BMGT332 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 12/17/2022 |
Dr. Bardossy is such a pleasant and smart teacher! She's very dedicated to her students and makes sure everyone knows what's going on as she goes through examples in class. Pre-application day quizzes are easy, especially if you read the textbook. I'd recommend reading the textbook for the first part of the semester, because it's foundational content that you'll need to know. The textbook is expensive, but it is worthwhile because you'll likely refer to it in the future if you work in operations management. Application days can be tricky, but Dr. Bardossy and the TA will help when you need it. Just make sure to follow along and review the examples gone over in class, since that's often the most important part. Indvidual homework assignments are very time-consuming; I probably spent 3-8 hours on each of them (8), because of the detail and knowledge required for solving. That being said, I never really minded spending that much time on them because the solving process is genuinely interesting. Hands-on quizzes (online; timed) were stressful but not really that hard if you know what you're doing based off the previous assignments and examples. Exams (cumulative; limited notes permitted) were super easy and predictable. I studied for a few hours for each one and got A+ on both. The handwritten notes aren't even needed if you pay attention in class and do the assignments. Overall, I really enjoyed this course. It feels like there's a time crunch in the last few weeks of class, because Dr. Bardossy covers some very broad material very quickly (such as Simulation), but that can't be helped. Some of her explanations are hard to understand, but that's because there are concepts you have to truly "get". This was definitely one of my favorite courses! 4/5 because of the huge time commitment—although that's unavoidable with this type of course content—and sometimes confusing explanations for harder topics. |

Very nice woman and not that hard of a class, but mind numbingly boring and she didn't seem to be prepared/know how to do everything sometimes. |

Very sweet guy. He does not grade and the grading is VERY thorough. If you have the right numbers and do not label them, you are wrong. If you are wrong once you lose 10%. Start your homework early, go to a TA to make sure it is "complete" aka labeled |

BMGT332 Expecting a C+ Anonymous 05/29/2014 |
He's the worst professor I've ever had. The class is pointless also. I got straight A's this semester and a C+ in his class. That speaks more volumes about his performance as a professor than my performance as a student. Very unhelpful and unwilling to help, unless you're one of his favorites in the class (which is picks very early in the semester). His exams are pointless and aimless and have no direction. All exams are cumulative and no new material is covered for the final after the 3rd exam. He also listed a book as required and we didn't use it once. AWFUL class. |

Honestly I took this class because I heard it was a pretty easy Supply Chain upper level class. The material is pretty simple but Ruhi is a horrendous professor. Potentially the worst I've ever had at Maryland. He is a stubborn prick who does not make his own powerpoints, instead teaching directly out of the book. He takes lots of points off both tests and homeworks for little reason at all. He said that if we had a 175/200 combined on the first two tests we should be good to get A's. I had a 174.5 and then got a 94 on the final and got a B in the class. When I asked him about this he stated that he never said this and yelled at me for implying he was a liar. Absolute dickhead, DO NO TAKE THIS GUY FOR THIS CLASS. |

Professor Golden seems to have the right intentions in his teachings, however his style is extremely odd. Often times you'll find yourself sitting there thinking "What the heck is he talking about?" If you study and prepare for tests, the class should be fairly easy to pass. I would still suggest looking into taking the course with a different teacher. |

BMGT332 Expecting a C Anonymous 11/29/2011 |
The material in this class is so easy it's ridiculous. You can study this material and think you mastered it, take the exam and get a C. Professor Ruhi takes off points for the most unnecessary things. It's basic math, but somehow you will find yourself with 15 points taken off your grade for silly mistakes. Ruhi is a nice guy though, fairly pleasant, but his grading is unfair. Also this is one of this classes you can't miss. If you miss one class your screwed because we cover so much in one class. |

Literally the worst professor in the Smith School. He goes out of his way to screw students over. I don't understand how there's a single positive review for this man. It doesn't matter how well you know the material (which is unbelievably easy), he will take points off anyway. His grading is so inconsistent and arbitrary, its amazing that he still has a job. |

Wow, Professor Ruhi is great. His quizzes and exams can be difficult. The key is to go to class. He may go a bit fast, but all the information he goes over will be on the quizzes and exams. If you don't go to class, there is a lot of information in the text that won't be covered in the exams, and you'll have no idea what will be covered. Don't miss a class. Do the HW and put in work and you should be fine. |

I had a 4.0 GPA going into this class. Much of the course material is very basic and easy. At times I felt insulted as he was teaching slope intercept form, and how to read a graph, a skill most of us learned in middle school or earlier. In addition, the exams tested on random useless information that does not test what you learned but if you could memorize the useless facts about case studies. Since I expected a normal college exam, I ended up getting a low B on the first exam and could not bring up my grade. This class could be good, maybe with another professor, but I feel I learned nothing and got a B to show for it. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH THIS PROFESSOR. |
