Jiqiang Ling BSCI443 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 12/12/2023	AMAZING! My favorite UMD teacher (honestly all of them have made science garbage for me) He is extremely organized which I love and his slides are perfect. He is a straightforward teacher who explains things really well. The exams are so fair and his study guides prepare you well for them. You learn so much in this class. This class is far from easy, to get an A+ on each of the exams I'd study a little every day 2 weeks prior and then then 2 days before dedicate all the time to making the cheat sheet he allows. Make sure to watch the lectures and take notes on what he adds to the slides and you will secure an A :)
Steven Hutcheson BSCI443 Expecting an A Anonymous 12/25/2013	I really like how he taught the class and how he tested us on the material. Instead of just memorizing random facts, his exams required us to understand the materials that he taught in class. He even gave us a 1 sided cheat sheet for each exams, which honestly does not really help much since I just usually glance at it 2 to 3 times during the exam. I think that making the cheat sheet just helped me to study the materials. The only thing that I did not like about this class was how the power point project on a primary research paper was graded. A lot of groups did poorly on this project. I felt like the professor graded it too harshly and that he was not really clear on how he was grading it. Overall I learned a lot and Professor Hutcheson was very nice and approachable. I felt like he really cared about his students.
Richard Stewart BSCI443 terpjunkie 07/28/2008	easy class, boring but really nice professor, take it to boost your science gpa. you won't learn much. NO EXAMS!!! Just really long problem sets based on research papers we read. every week, you must present a figure/section of a paper--requires some preparation outside of class but for the most part, easy easy easy. Attendance is not that serious. no final!!! You will get an A.
