Intermediate Fiction Workshop

Prerequisite: Minimum grade of A- in ENGL271 or ENGL272; or permission of ARHU-English department. A class in the making of fiction. Intensive discussion of students' own fiction. Readings include both fiction and essays about fiction by practicing writers. Writing short critical papers, responding to works of fiction, and the fiction of colleagues, in-class writing exercises, intensive reading, and thinking about literature, in equal parts, and attendance at readings.
