Sangeeta Ray ENGL362 Expecting an A Anonymous 12/21/2025	I LOVED this class! I learned so much and the discussions were fascinating. My only critique is that her class was a bit disorganized and no grades were imputed into Canvas until the end. But she is so sweet and willing to work with the class so we enjoy it.

Merle Collins ENGL362 Expecting an A- Anonymous 10/29/2011	I took ENGL362 with Professor Collins. The readings were interesting and the discussions were enlightening, which is why I gave the class two stars. Collins was extremely disorganized. I like to take my time with papers, which was impossible to do because she assigned the papers a week in advance. Then she graded really hard with little to no comments. How can she expect to have overly-exemplary work when she sets students up for failure? My advice: choose a different class for diversity or Group 2 credits.
Merle Collins ENGL362 Expecting an A- Anonymous 05/24/2009	Professor Collins was by far one of the best professors I have ever had at UMD. She is extremely passionate about Caribbean literature, she is always so happy and funny, and I learned so much from her great lectures. She creates a very open dialogue in class and is VERY knowledgeable. If you are going to read the books and take time on the papers, you will get an A.

Professor Collins was by far one of the best professors I have ever had at UMD.
