Topics in International Relations; International Human Rights: Contemporary Issues in the Practice of Global Justice

Students are introduced to the philosophical and historical roots of human rights, and to the prominent institutions and practices of the contemporary international human rights regime. The three broad areas covered are: 1) Philosophical and legal foundations of human rights; 2) the international human rights regime; 3) contemporary issues and practices in human rights.
