Seminar in American Politics; Political Science Survey Methods and Experience

Corequisites: GVPT170 and GVPT201. Restriction: Must be in Government & Politics program or Government & Politics: International Relations program. Surveys help us understand social problems, assess support for public policies, and explain political outcomes. Students will experience from beginning to the end the process of conducting survey research. This includes question wording, question placement, mechanisms for testing response time and survey length, and issues related to survey execution in the field. Students will then evaluate and analyze the survey data.
