I thought IT was interesting / cool to learn. However, after taking this insanely boring class I could care less about IT. The class sucks, the work is not low effort at all. You are spammed with work every week and forced to buy extra things for the class. The professor is soooooo boring and adds on lame work. Out of all the INST required classes this is the absolute worst one to take.

Professor Frezzo is super kind and very knowledgable. Lab attendance is mandatory, and we did pretty fun activities during that time. The workload can be pretty heavy (its not too much but its a solid 3-4 hours of work a week sometimes), but it's all relevant to the course and is helpful. Make sure you pair up with good teammates for lab because I definitely think that makes a difference. This class is a pretty easy A and you'll also learn a lot!

Dr. Frezzo is super knowledgable and cares about learning. The class has a ton of work but it's all pretty relevant. If you don't care about learning and want an easy A, I would recommend a different professor. But if you're actually interested in learning the material, this professor is for you. Note that he takes attendance for class AND labs. Assignments are graded super fast. My only gripe is that sometimes I feel there isn't enough time for labs or for participation at the end of class.

Dr. Frezzo genuinely cares about making sure his students pass the class. He's always available through ELMS and has a quick response rate. He does give out a lot of work that can feel tedious at times but he grades rather leniently and much, much, faster than other professors.

Professor Frezzo was overall a great caring professor, he always wants his students to succeed and get good grades, he even gives extra credit. The only thing is he does assign a lot of work weekly which consist of packet tracers, labs, and homework. The class also has a required in person lab and 2 exams. As long as you stay on top of your game in this class and start assignments early you will be good.

Professor Frezzo is a very smart guy, which means he's super passionate about the content in this course. He assigns a TON of busy work every week. If there are other sections with some other professors, I recommend taking them instead.

He's a chill guy but there seems to be barely any structure to his lectures. His homework questions sometimes make no sense too.

Frezzo is passionate and knowledgeable. He's a nice guy. But unfortunately the class is poorly organized and the lectures can be confusing to follow since he sometimes goes on tangents. There aren't slides or anything either so it can be really hard to figure out what's going on, especially since this is the first exposure to this topic for many. I would not recommend taking 346 with him just because of the poor organization alone.

Professor Heidenblad is the one of the best professors at UMD. His lectures are easy to follow and have occasional memes. He is also a lenient professor, if you contact him he will give you extra time. The exams and homework’s are very straight forward as the material is taught throughout lectures. Overall great professor, would take him again.

Donal Heidenblad is a great professor. He's really nice and fair. Labs and homework can be hard, but ask and you shall receive help. He explains stuff really well. Exams are easy as they are open note and lecture, just make sure to write everything you know and answer every prompt. Overall I really liked this class and I highly recommend the class and the professor.

Great professor that is very knowledgeable about the stuff he is teaching. He cares about his students and is more than willing to help. One thing I will mention though is that this guy does not mess around with plagiarism. Im talking "plagiarism quizzes" and short lectures about cheating before every major exam. Obviously not a big deal because no one should be cheating anyways, but just be prepared.

Very helpful and knowledgable about course material. Always helpful when asked questions and genuinely a very nice guy. Though his meme game may need some work, his course structure and willingness to help students understand and learn material are very good. Highly recommend him for this course!

The only reason I give him 4 stars is because labs are difficult, but he grades very easily. Even with a 6/10 on two labs my grade is still a 99. You just have to turn in assignments on time and follow the rubric and you're good.

Get ready to learn absolutely nothing. He designs the course to be extremely difficult for no reason. The material he presents with his lectures are often confusing and difficult to apply to the series of labs assigned throughout the semester and homework assignments.

Knowledgable and passionate professor. Attempts to make material as engaging as it can be. Very nice, but can also get a bit scattered.
