Prerequisite: JOUR320 or JOUR360. Jointly offered with JOUR772. Credit only granted for: JOUR472 or JOUR772. A practical, skills-based course in the basics of modern data journalism, data analysis and data storytelling. Students will learn to use data programming, statistical analysis, visualization tools and investigative reporting techniques to unearth key facts, patterns and proof in storytelling. Students must contact Assistant Dean Josh Madden for permission to register.
