Good professor, but her accent is hard to understand most of the time. I took this class thinking it was an easy Gen ed, but there are 3 midterms, which you have to study A LOT for. The TA does pretty much go over everything on it and what slides to focus on before each exam, but you still have to study a lot for it. I learned a lot in this class, but if you're looking for an easy A gen ed, I wouldn't recommend this class because there is a good amount of memorization. |

Dr. Wang is really sweet and explains things to the best of her ability. She has a really thick accent, but you can tell she really tries to pronounce things correctly and sometimes chuckles when she is struggling. She is also really sweet to talk to. Some of the content is out dated, but it's nothing major. There are study questions at the end of every lecture slide deck so you know exactly what to take away from each lecture. The exams are very reasonable, I barely needed to study. She's overall a great professor and a nice person. |

Dr. Pradhan was so funny. He would crack jokes during lecture and sometimes people would laugh, and sometimes they wouldn't. One time he freaked me out though cause I raised my hand to answer a questions and he knew my name, despite me never introducing myself to him. However, turns out my TA spoke to him about me because of our presentation during discussion. So it was really nice that he remembered my name and could pick me out of a crowd. He makes it very obvious what is going to be on the exam, even to the extent of telling us the literal essay question during lecture. Sometimes he loses track of time, or says you can read this on your own time. If that was the case, I would appreciate some pre-class reading so we can get through all the material. But he is very passionate about what he does. Discussions are super easy and mine got out early by like 30 minutes all of the time. |

She teaches this course along with Professor Pradhan, and the course itself is not hard. The structure for this class is very straightforward with weekly homeworks, your presentation, and the final paper (all being group assignments). I really liked Mrs. Wang, her lectures were a little boring but never hard to follow. Also, for each exam the TA told us pretty much the exact questions with answers that would be on the test, so I would just study those and get an A. However, the TA grades all the assignments and right now I only have 4 assignments out of like 5 out of 23 assignments graded. Besides that, this class is very chill and an interesting class, definitely recommend! |

The set up for this class was Mr. Pradhan and Mrs. Wang alternates each month for exam topics. The course itself is not hard as long as you do the work, with weekly group homeworks (not hard) and a group presentation. There is no final, it's just exam 3 (on the most recent topics) and a final paper which is group paper. Professor Pradhan is a good teacher, he is funny and tries his best to engage students with his lectures. My main struggle with his teaching was that it was hard to understand him and he always had a bunch of slides with things that weren't really relevant to the exam topics. Overall, I liked this class and recommend it if you can take it! |

I love Dr. Pradhan, he makes lectures pretty interesting and he is very clear with what will be on the exams and tells us what specifically to take notes on and as long as you listen and study you will be fine. The only problem is he sometimes spends way too long on one topic and has to rush through the slides at the end, but he posts the slides on canvas so you can always just go look at them yourself if you need it. Discussions are mandatory but they’re easy too. |

This class had a lot of overlap with NFSC100 but we were taught a lot about food processing basics. The exams were relatively easy if you paid attention and studied the content from lecture. Discussion was also easy, with two presentations about a nutrition topic and one short final paper over the course of the semester. The TAs did review the discussion before each exam as well, which was helpful. I would definitely recommend it as a gen ed if you are interested in nutrition, and I would recommend Dr. Pradhan (who taught half the lectures for my section). Pradhan was a good lecturer and made it clear what ideas to focus on for exams. |

The course is quite elementary. The professor seems to enjoy and know a lot about each subject. Can be difficult to understand. All lecture slides are posted on canvas and exam questions are posted there as well. Occasional pop quiz in class so make sure to attend them. Study sessions are also held by TA so go to them as well. Overall a good professor and an easy class |

Didn't learn anything, but didn't need to. Easy A if you show up to discussions, and you don't even have to pay attention (I took the blended section). I have never seen this or the other professor, but I think they do recorded lectures or something. My TA handled all of the logistics, planning, and review. |

Easy class. The lectures are asynchronous but you should attend the discussion day for weekly group presentations followed by a short quiz. There is also a group term paper due at the end of the semester that is based off your group presentation but that should be easy if you have good group mates. Make sure to do the weekly homework accurately because they can hurt your grade if you don't follow directions |

Easy class as long as you actually watch the lectures, take notes, and study for exams. Lectures are asynchronous and discussion only meets once a week for an hour where all you do is 1 student presentation and a short quiz. There are short weekly homeworks which are easy - but if you tank the exams its hard to pull yourself up because all other assignments are less than 15 points. Not a super interesting course but easy Gen Ed. |

she is a good lecturer, nfsc 112, is "chill," but if you have ADHD or can't stay on top of your work, you will end up like I did and have 7 lecturers to go over the week before your exam...so just know yourself but the facts are cool and the work is easy |

super chill and easy class... lectures are online and only have to attend discussion which is once a week. Assignments in class are exams, homework (group assignment), group presentation and a term paper. Overall a really easy class. |

Very chill class, meets once a week for "discussion", but the discussion sections are just presentations made by your classmates. They are mandatory though, and you have to take a quiz after every group presentation that was made by the group. As long as you get a 3/5, you earn full credit for that week. Lectures are asynchronous, and can get pretty confusing when it comes to the different terms and topics that she discusses. GO TO THE EXAM REVIEW SESSIONS, the TA basically lists what is going to be on the exams. There are 3 exams, one group presentation, one group paper, and 10 group assignments. The group work really depends on your group members, and my group was horrible, so I ended up having to do all of the work for the paper, presentation and assignments. Overall, not a bad gen-ed, but there really shouldn't be as much group work as there was. |

She's alright. Kinda boring since all she does is read from a PowerPoint in a monotone voice. Also, attendance is mandatory even though all powerpoints are available online. Other than that it's not that bad of class. |
