Professor Cheng taught the second half of this class which was C++. He was very hard to understand many people also said this, especially when learning a programming language like C++ you need to understand what is happening and go slowly which was was impossible with this teacher and how hard it was to understand what he was saying. Many people skipped as there was no point of listening to him. He did have good notes on github which was nice but overall would not ever want him again. The studios/homeworks were very hard other than the first 2, the TAs help a lot for studios and usually will check you off if you stay the whole time even if you don't finish it. The exams/final were very hard, just make sure you review the studios/homeworks and understand all of the practice exam. After you get your test back make sure to check it with the TA/Teacher as they usually give points back. There is only one section so not much you can do professor wise, just try to keep up with understanding the studios and homework as much as possible, use ChatGPT to learn harder concepts and go to office hours, not much else you can do. |
