The class is him just yapping for 75 minutes. Also there are weekly reading and quizzes on the reading One take home midterm that you have a 2 hour window. You will be rushing to finish it. 3 short essay(300 words each) The terms are from random obscure terms from text book in class. Also has an essay with a min word count of 600. He grades more on quantity not quality. The final is the same but he gave us 3 days instead because he saw there need to be more time. DONT TAKE HIS CLASS unless you have to. If you in Army ROTC. Just take army 110 instead. Or take a military history class online on UMGC

Prof Chung is definitely nice and thoughtful and really committed to listening to everyone's thoughts and providing constructive feedback. The course itself is interesting and I learned a lot of things regarding Asian American history that I would've otherwise never known about for who knows how long? The only potential problem is that Prof Chung's way of delivering the information can be a bit boring at times - there's a lack of engagement with lectures (but this also could be due to the later time of the class making everything feel tiring). I would recommend him though!

Very Nice Professor. But the assignment is a lot of work. There is 20 pages of reading every week and the lecture is not very interesting. However he is available during office hours and will help you with the papers.

Very nice professor, but taught in a way that made course material unengaging and uninteresting. Did all the required work for this class and came out having felt that I learned nothing of substance. Some of the assigned readings are good however, and do a much better job of teaching than him.
