Josh is very nice but he is a hard grader. He expects a lot on his assignments without telling you any requirements. An A will probably be hard to get from him as the Milestone assignments he grades hard and they are the majority of your grade. Just hope you have a good group for the semester.

Spring 2022 was Josh's first time teaching and he's already a pro. He is younger than most other professors, so he's more relatable and has a similar sense of humor. Josh (who asked us to call him by his first name) always wants to help and is super good at explaining... everything. ENES100 can be either a blast or a nightmare depending on who your groupmates are (chosen by the professor & TAs). It's very similar to FIRST Robotics in high school, except there are 6-8 people per group and the robot is the size of a laptop. There's a HUGE range of experience among the students, from no experience all the way up to people who build robots as a hobby. Josh tried his best to teach basic concepts during the first few weeks of the semester before we started building, but there's only so much one can teach in that short amount of time. Cross your fingers and hope for good group mates who show up and try their best.
