Prerequisite: PHYS261 and PHYS260. Restriction: Must be in a major in ENGR-A. James Clark School of Engineering. Credit only granted for: BIOE232, CHBE301, ENCH300, ENES232, ENME320, or ENME232. Formerly: ENME232 and ENME320. Introduction to thermodynamics. Thermodynamic properties of matter. First and second laws of thermodynamics, cycles, reactions, and mixtures. For all sections of ENES232 there will be common midterm examinations on periodic Thursdays from 7:00-8:15pm.
