Daniels clearly cares deeply about his students. He does his best to make the class as stress free as possible and keeps his lectures engaging. He tries to keep things more on the conceptual side than the math side which generally makes the class less painful. Specifics: Weekly Extra credit Quizzes- Worth up to 6% of the final grade 2 Midterms- 25% each Homework- 20% Final- 30% The exams are exactly like the quizzes with additional true or false and fill in the blank questions, the averages were in the high 80s. The homework's are annoying but graded on completion. He does not curve, but with all the extra credit, there isn't really a need to. If I have any complaints, maybe its that I didn't learn much since you can just memorize the quizzes to do well on the exams. However, I feel like that's a pretty nice problem to have when your dealing with an EE course load. Save yourself a headache and take it with Daniels. |

He really cares about his student's understanding and is always super helpful answering questions. He is willing to work with students if they can't make a deadline and makes sure you aren't stressed out in his class. Personally, however, I sometimes had trouble following his lectures which he does from slides. He tends to cram his slides with a lot of information without the best explanations of concepts at times. However I would still say overall his lectures are good and he more than makes up for it with his enthusiasm for the subject and willingness to work with students. The class had many opportunities for extra credit, with a purely extra credit quiz every week, and an optional extra credit term paper. Homework's were very difficult but graded on completion. Tests are fair and based on the weekly quizzes (not the difficult homework) with a formula sheet provided. Overall a great professor who cares more about practical knowledge for careers in the field than extremely difficult content just to bog you down. Highly recommend. |

Kevin Daniels has lots of experience from the field, even as a young professor in dealing with the fabrication of microelectronics. He is a perfect fit for ENEE416, and I highly recommend his lab class. He makes it so you aren't super stressed, but you still get a lot out of the class. |

Kevin Daniels is a great professor who cares more about you learning and being able to speak the semiconductor and device language rather than get bogged down with formulas. He cares about he success of his students, and I would highly recommend taking his class if available. |
