I personally really enjoyed it cuz i'm a german minor and she focused on a lot of german history and culture, which is really interesting. she assigned a good amount of readings every class, normally takes an hour to finish, but some of them are pretty interesting. she REALLY cares about participation, which counts 25% of our grade, and if you don't read it, she will notice! the papers are okay but she only likes the way she wants you to write it. as in for the mid-term and final, be aware of the DATES and NAMES. overall speaking,not a bad class at all. i got to know Frederiksen outside of class and she's a very nice lady! |

Great, engaging, interesting professor. She does not utilize many forms of technology (no ELMS, barely any email notification) and there is required reading for every class. This is not a class you can skip often, she will notice. But the content is pretty interesting and she's a very easy grader. |
