This was genuinely one of the best classes I took in Fall 2025. Kyle was newly hired and because of that we had some bumps in the beginning with canvas and getting office hours down, but that was truly the only bad thing about this class. Calc 2 is not the most exciting subject, but Kyle spoke and taught with such enthusiasm that it was honestly hard not to be interested in what was going on. He was very cooperative with students on extensions for quizzes and giving as much help as was needed for homework. Oftentimes, he would stay past the listed office hours to go over problems with us, and it really felt like the class was able to connect with him in a way larger lectures can’t. It felt like he really cared about our understanding of the subject and wanted us to pass; I am a math person, so I’ll say for me the class was a good fit and I have nothing bad to say about the teaching, but even for non math people, Kyle is amazing at making you feel confident at asking for help and he is more than willing to work with everyone on everything. Additionally, if there were ever any errors or confusion on quizzes, either during or after they were graded, he was exceptionally open to questions and criticisms; he often gave points back if a question was to hard or you could explain why you thought you were correct. I cannot stress enough how amazing Kyle was, and I really hope he gets the credit he deserves! |
