Awesome COMM107 professor! From what I’ve heard, most sections of this class are essentially the same no matter the professor, with 4 speeches and 10 short reading quizzes on Canvas. You’ll do well on the speeches in Dr. Leach’s class if you practice a couple times and put some effort in. Plus, he makes all the quizzes available from the start of the semester, so you can knock them all out early if you don’t want to worry about them later. He makes class fun and engaging, and you’ll be a lot more comfortable with public speaking by the end of it if you’re not already.

Jonathan Leach is a great professor. He is super understanding and a lot of fun to talk to. The class is no stress, and overall fair grading. Lots of in class practice and he gives good feedback and explanations on grades. Definitely a fun and easy class and you should take for your gen ed.

Prof. Leach is completely understanding, flexible with deadlines when needed, and grades the presentations super graciously. There are a few open book quizzes over the year in which you can CNTL+F and get an easy 100% on all of them. He's good with in class activities to give us some class-to-class practice and he's a really funny dude who loves to joke around too. Very easy A+

Deserves his perfect 5 star rating. Super understanding, cares about making you good at communication way more than he cares about making sure you understand the textbook or the "rules" of presentations. Very charismatic and entertaining.

Take him for COMM107 if you see him. The presentations are easy, quizzes are online (open book), plus he's a really lenient and gracious grader. Overall, if you want a laid-back class, an easy A, and actually effectively improve your communication/presentation skills, take him whenever you can. This guy is the goat.

Love this professor. Easy to talk to (makes jokes and keeps class entertaining). You will definitely get over your fear of public speaking but don't worry (as someone who hates public speaking, it isn't bad at all). His grading is chill and he's really flexible.

Super chill guy and a super easy grader. I would definitely take him for comm107. Easiest A so far in college and the class is pretty enjoyable. he doesn't expect too much and there are only 3 main presentations and one of them is a group presentation.

Mr. Leach is super nice and funny. I totally recommend this class. There is a weekly quiz (online & open-book), but it is super easy and based off of the textbook. He does make us do some unexpected 30-45 second class presentations (some impromptu, some not), but that only happened like 3 or 4 times over the semester and were super helpful actually, so no biggy. He gave us plenty of time to prepare for presentations, and gave great feedback. Overall, would recommend for a stress free COMM class.

John was a really nice guy who made COMM107 super easy. All our presentations were recorded so we could do as many takes as we liked, but you don't really need to since he is an incredibly lenient grader. Every other assignment is essentially just completion points, except for the quizzes. They quizzes were directly based off the textbook, and you could easily find the answers in it so reading isn't really necessary. There is a group presentation towards the end of the semester which was kind of annoying to organize with everyone. The final was just a special occasion presentation, which had basically no structure so you could do whatever.
