Myungin is not particularly great at teaching new material, in my opinion. If you do not know anything about programming or Unity, his classes will probably be a struggle and you will be left making your group mates completely carry you. He is pretty laid back, however, and gives decent feedback on your group's work. Although, he can be a chronic yapper at times. Overall, for these studio classes, as long as the professor isn't a total dick (Myungin certainly is not), then the professor is fairly inconsequential, as it is just open studio time to work on a final project that you're given pretty much no direction or requirements on.

Professor Lee is overall pretty nice. His grading for IMDM290 isn't harsh--as long as you do your work on time and show up to class, you'll basically get a 100% on everything. Personally, I didn't really find his lectures during the first half of the semester (before the final project) particularly useful, but he provided enough documentation and resources on his ELMs/google website that I was still able to do the assignments and learn some things. During the final project, he gave out a lot more useful advice and he would recommend or offer access to specific pipelines/resources for all of the groups, and in general was supportive of everyone's ideas. The TAs for this class were also very nice and helpful, definitely a good resource to use if you're having trouble!

Chill guy, he's pretty funny and is understanding about a lot of things if you talk to him. Got an A- because I missed a few weeks of class (there's an attendance grade), but if you go to class, it's a free A. It's hard to teach an intro class like this because everyone is at different levels, but he does a good job at making sure everyone knows what's going on while not holding anyone back if you want to go above and beyond. Final project (majority of the semester) is super open-ended, you can talk to him about VR or just do your own thing in Unity. You get to choose your partner/group so don't mess up.

This course was pretty interesting, but since this is supposed to be an intro level course meant to show us what we could do, we were kind of thrown into using Unity and making a project with it when we didn't really know how to use it. We first briefly talked about immersive design and had to do maybe 2 presentations in the course, we then did guided Unity projects and finally completed a group project where we had to create an immersive Unity game. Professor Lee is helpful, but a bit hard to understand at moments (in terms of affect or objective). Ultimately, he is fairly understanding if you put in effort and keep up with the course. I think he knows that the class is kind of a lot at once and he just wanted to show us a lot of the components/possibilities of what we could do, but if you didn't have prior knowledge of the application or knowing a bit how it generally worked, it made things somewhat harder to do.

Wouldn't be that bad of a professor if he wasn't just a yapper. Half of the lectures are spent with him explaining what IMD is and also how important studio time is, but he wastes our studio time by talking that much. Don't think i learned anything substantial in this class. Since attendance is required, just do other work in this class cause you could find better tutorials on youtube.
