Ariel was super kind and honestly had a pretty fair structure for the course! If you go to lecture and participate shes more than willing to help and maybe give you some regrade points on exam! She claims that her exams are ridiculously hard and to be honest I found them quite fair. Her practice tests were not exact but close enough to the exams to at least pull a B on each of them. There were weekly quizzes in discussion except on test weeks and the TA usually did a great job of preparing us for whatever the quiz would throw our way. Both exams had at least one question that the class would mostly agree upon being kind of out of nowhere. She just expects you to maybe apply what shes taught you to a slightly different concept or ask for an abysmally brutal row reduction problem that I dont think she herself was ready for. The only knock to Ari is that her lectures can be a bit bland and it shows that shes a new lecturer. A lot of people skip lecture and probably just read the lecture notes and are fine. Might have to do some slight self teaching for exam prep, but what else is new in the math dept. TLDR: New teacher and the lectures show. Fair class setup, daily quizzes, "hard tests" that are moderate and are easy B's if you do practice exam. Very kind, just show up to lecture and be attentice
