He’s a great professor- supportive, kind, and understanding. I didn’t get an A in this class solely because I struggled to pay attention and take notes. Don’t be like me. Also not sure why he doesn’t have at least a 4.5/5. |

Honestly it was fine, nothing too special. Lectures can be boring but he's a really nice guys so attending class isn't too painful. The homework assignments and weekly group projects were also pretty easy. You definitely have to really study for the exams, because they tested you on the applications of concepts, not just definitions, but they also weren't impossible. |

Rich is a nice guy who knows what he is talking about. He connects the textbook content with real-world experiences and examples to better his students' understanding. The exams are harder than the class itself, but if you master the definitions from the textbook and really understand how to use them in situational-based examples, you will be fine. He provides practice exams that provide really similar questions that are on the exams. Try your best to get 100% on all the Pearson work and do well on the practicums to give yourself some buffer room for the exams, which are worth 20% of your grade. Overall, I really liked the class. Rich is a nice guy. If you're struggling, ask for help; he is a resource. |

I'm honestly confused why Rich doesn't have a higher rating or nicer reviews. The majority of your grade for this class are assignments that are very easy to do well on and the tests, which are not difficult if you have a basic understanding of the material, are only worth 40% of your grade. I know other kids who have to write essays for an assignment that he lets us do with bullets on a PowerPoint. He's definitely boring but the class isn't hard which is what matters |

I personally think this class is stupid, and the lectures are really boring. But he is a nice guy, so if you end up with him its really not that bad. |

nice guy but this class is so boring and useless. grades you on participation but theres like 50 people in the class and he doesn't tell you about the participation grade until the end of the semester. even if you show up to all the required classes and do the required weekly activity that still won't get you a 10/10 on participation for whatever reason. also, his exams are hard and more situation based and he provides a singular practice exam that has like 10 questions on it. really hate this class and how it's structured. |

Did not pay attention at all during lecture. Gives unreasonable amount of work for the most useless class I’ve ever taken. |

Nice guy, very easy going class once a week but the class structure is horrendous. No matter what you do, what you study, it is nearly an impossible feat to get an A. I knew kids who studied hours on end to just barely pass the two exams which make up 40% of your grade. His exams are all situation based/theoretical so multiple answers work but you have to choose the best option on an all multiple choice test. He doesn't tell you what you did wrong and in class he says that multiple options can fit answers. This course is just terrible and their is basically nothing you can do to improve. |

Great professor for 452. Cares about students' understanding of concepts and willingly helps outside of class. No tests. Just quizzes, group projects, and a few other assignments. Highly recommend. |
