One of the best professors that I have had at Smith. She is so knowledgeable and you can't help from learning so much from her. The class is set up extremely well, with weekly quizzes, no exams, and three individual projects throughout the semester that is based on what we learn. I rarely did any outside-of-class work other than the projects, and her lectures are engaging. The quizzes are very closely based on the lectures, so make sure you take good notes. You have to do facilitation once in the entire semester, but those are pretty painless and are just there to check your notes from the previous classes. |

SHE IS GOATED! Very knowledgable in her field, genuinely wants her students to succeed always there to answer any questions. Love her lectures, definitely got my money's worth from this class. Her lectures will take you far within the marketing industry! |

I'm posting this because there aren't any recent constructive reviews. Don't get me wrong, this is one of the better classes I've had. She is a pretty good and understanding professor, the work load isn't heavy, NO EXAMS!! (just a 25% quiz), and she tries to make the class fun. If you're an extravert, you can stop reading here— you'll probably enjoy the class. However, if you're an introvert like me— this class might be a nightmare for you. Every single class is a discussion. Like every. single. class. Be prepared to have a debate every class. I thought I was taking a consumer analysis not a debate class. like seriously. It felt like we were learning more off of each others answers than her teaching. Participation is a large chunk of your grade. I get that in the business world we're gonna have to get used to talking to each other— this class just does it in a bad way and I don't enjoy it. |

I love Professor Wang. She puts a lot of effort into her classes and I really enjoyed the collaborative aspects of her course. She likes to use case studies to teach you concepts and the midterm exam (no final exam!) was pretty comprehensive, but as long as you come to class and take some notes and go over her presentations, you'll be fine. |

This was one of my favorite classes of all time! I had Prof Ratner and she was wonderful! You will learn a lot--it blends a little psychology, sociology, design, as well as scientific methodology to marketing, which ends up being incredibly fascinating. Marketing is more than just being creative and making things up randomly--there's a lot of strategy and skill needed, as I learned from this class. For marketing majors, and non-mktg-majors alike, I highly recommend this class. And this is not a class where the prof hands out A's on a silver platter to you--your grade will reflect the amount of info you've actually absorbed. But don't worry--it's not difficult. It's interesting and fun, but you do have to give quality effort to get your A. |

Professor Bonavia is a two sided coin. One one hand, she knows her material well. She's been in the industry and generally gives good examples that make understanding the material easier. HOWEVER, as a person, she is very self absorbed. You will learn everything about how she and her husband have a lot of money and how they like to spend it. She's also really anal about not using technology which is infuriating. We live in the 21st century and whether she likes it or not, there are many people who learn by taking notes on a laptop but because she doesn't like that, no laptops allowed in her class. Overall, I would not take her unless you're really passionate about Consumer Research. |

A real teacher that knows her material and teaches it well. Attendance taken every day and powerpoints are not online so you have to take notes. Class is interactive and if you are a marketing major it should be interesting material. She tells you 90% of the exam concepts the class before the test. You actually have to read 5 or 6 of the chapters in the book. As a person she is a nice lady but really self obsessed. You will hear more about her personal life than you ever have from any of your teachers. I guarantee that. Strangely she prefers to be phone called rather than emailed. Pretty accessible and will work with you. Good teacher in the Smith School |

Harms is one the best professor I had at Maryland. I really enjoyed her class. As long as you read the book and articles, you should be fine. She loves students participating in the class. I think the book is very interesting and easy to read. She also has a few short papers for student to write, it they are all pretty easy. Highly recommend if you want to take BMGT451. |

Professor Harms is not only a great professor, she is a really nice person. Her class was interesting and really tied into the real world. She expects you to read the book and participate in class but I really didn't find that difficult. She made me want to learn and I could really tell she wanted everyone to do well and learn in her class. Definitely take her if you are a marketing major. |

Take this course with Ratner, she is the best Professor I've had at UMD!! The material is very interesting and she finds ways to make it fun. Also, the projects are fun and the case studies are pretty interesting. Be sure to read the case studies so you get participation credit. Exams are a little rough, don't be surprised if you fail the first one. She's pretty picky BUT gives you legitimate reasons as to why she takes off points. She did take off points for using the wrong word in a paper... that was a bit absurd... but, she's really an amazing teacher. I HIGHLY recommend her. |

Take this course with Ratner!! She is by far one of the best teachers I've had in the business school. The material is very interesting and easy to remember for the most part. The projects are fun and the case studies are really interesting. You really get a good feel for both the psych and business sides of marketing and how they combine. She even involves taste tests and other experiements into the class. Exams are easy, mulitple choice and short answer, based on the slides she hands out each class and talks about and the cases and articles. Take some notes on what is discussed and remeber the examples and you'll be good. GREAT CLASS. |

Best professor I've ever had. Her lectures are great, we learn a lot of fun ways to manipulate people. Exams are challenging, but it's easy to remember such interesting material. She grades assignments fairly easily. |
