Her weekly quizzes and videos are way too hard for no reason. They are timed and you actually stress about them. Her exams are challenging because you really need to understand the topics and there is just so much information to learn. The one good thing is there is no final and you only meet once a week. She's a very nice lady but come on its marketing, it should be fun!

One of the best professors that I have had at Smith. She is so knowledgeable and you can't help from learning so much from her. The class is set up extremely well, with weekly quizzes, no exams, and three individual projects throughout the semester that is based on what we learn. I rarely did any outside-of-class work other than the projects, and her lectures are engaging. The quizzes are very closely based on the lectures, so make sure you take good notes. You have to do facilitation once in the entire semester, but those are pretty painless and are just there to check your notes from the previous classes.

Bonavia is really a solid professor. She's well-rounded and is beyond passionate about what she's teaching. The real-life examples that she uses in class make her lectures unforgettable. Her lectures are also really valuable because the weekly quizzes and exams will always ask questions on the examples she uses in class. One thing that is slightly annoying are the in-class assignments she gives just because I don't really feel like it adds to my knowledge or help me grasp the concepts in any way.

Professor B's lectures are really engaging and informative. She is extremely knowledgeable in the field and is an excellent professor. She is also very compassionate and wants students to do well. Definitely pay attention in class (really try to avoid missing lectures) and take good notes from the textbook.

Her lectures are GREAT and straight to the point. She's very experienced in the field and shares that rich information with us. She is great at listening to any concerns students might have. She does honestly care about her students and does want us to do good., Pay attention to her lectures and take good notes, rarely read the textbook.

The way the class was structured was weird... she recorded herself giving the lecture with a projector. When we would tell her the slides were blurry because she was too far, she would disagree and not upload the class powerpoints.

Professor Bonavia is a two sided coin. One one hand, she knows her material well. She's been in the industry and generally gives good examples that make understanding the material easier. HOWEVER, as a person, she is very self absorbed. You will learn everything about how she and her husband have a lot of money and how they like to spend it. She's also really anal about not using technology which is infuriating. We live in the 21st century and whether she likes it or not, there are many people who learn by taking notes on a laptop but because she doesn't like that, no laptops allowed in her class. Overall, I would not take her unless you're really passionate about Consumer Research.

A real teacher that knows her material and teaches it well. Attendance taken every day and powerpoints are not online so you have to take notes. Class is interactive and if you are a marketing major it should be interesting material. She tells you 90% of the exam concepts the class before the test. You actually have to read 5 or 6 of the chapters in the book. As a person she is a nice lady but really self obsessed. You will hear more about her personal life than you ever have from any of your teachers. I guarantee that. Strangely she prefers to be phone called rather than emailed. Pretty accessible and will work with you. Good teacher in the Smith School

As a TA she is very helpful. She makes every effort to make sure her students excel above those of the other TAs. She spells out exactly what she expects from every student, including the topic of each paragraph of the paper - something people in other sections struggle with. I highly recommend her as a TA, but I've heard horror stories of her as a teacher.
