Mark Shayman ENEE420 Expecting an A Anonymous 12/24/2025	Professor Shayman is a solid choice for a difficult ECE class. His exams are fair and he provides plenty of material to prepare for them. A fair warning that his assignments are long, but they are incredibly useful for learning the material. The homework comes straight from the textbook (Lathi/Ding), and there was a generous curve. I was not a huge fan of his lecture style since he lectures from powerpoint slides. However, he will use the board and work example problems the week before the exams, which I found to be very helpful. Regardless, I’d recommend taking a course with Professor Shayman.
Prakash Narayan ENEE420 Anonymous 12/20/2021	Great lecturer. Manages to cover a ton of relatively advanced topics and explains them in an understandable way. Exams and assignments were very manageable, but having a background in math and probability will definitely be helpful later on in the course. Mostly teaches grad courses and it shows; some of the lectures go hard into the math and it's easy to get lost, but going over the uploaded lectures/notes helped a lot.

Sennur Ulukus ENEE420 mdterp12 11/02/2011	Good professor. Took her for 324 and now again for 420. Good, coherent lectures. HW is not excessively long, though can be tough - just a characteristic of the material being innately tough. Fair tests. Dry humor to keep lectures interesting. Definitely recommend this professor.

Pretty happy overall with Shayman's teaching. Grading was fair. Wish more examples were worked in class.
