This is an easy A class tbh, lot of the material is easy to understand and the professor is really nice. She provided us study guides for the tests. Pretty simple in you just pay attention in class or review the material needed.

She is a very snarky and nasty instructor, i didn't mind her course material or lectures, but the minimal interaction i had with her was extremely confrontational. She insulted me for my submission, when I had a serious medical emergency she insulted my integrity and continued to invalidate my experiences with 0 empathy despite her using her covid recovery as an excuse to change 2 semesters of class from in-person to online(2, 12 weeks semesters, spring 201 and fall 352) . I ended up dropping out of the semester to take care of my health, retook the class later throughout my time and got an A+ in the class with a professor who was not only much more competent in lesson plans, engaging students, but a better human being in general. The class is easy, she however, is very harsh in grading, egocentric, and has some sort of problem where she thinks the more difficult she makes things for people the better of a professor that makes her.

I agree with the post below, she talks too much. I had her online and lectures were mandatory but the class was super easy. Just three main projects, three assignments, three discussion posts, and three quizzes for the entire semester. Not bad at all.

Mandatory attendance. They grade assignments way too harshly. Had to calculate my own grade because her ELMS grading didn't work. If you can/want to put in the work, you could end up with a A-. But if you got more important classes to focus on, don't take this professor.

The class is pretty easy, lectures are boring. She can come off as rude at some points for no reason at all most of the time. Just do all the work and you'll get an A

The class is easy. Just do the work and come to class. This is not a class you need to spend time studying or reading.

Very kind and understanding professor. Most of it is just busy work and two papers.

Reads off power points, grades attendance, no point in going to class all tests are open note anyway.

Professor Jean was a great professor. She had interesting slides to present with her lectures. The class consist of weekly discussions, four different quizzes, 2 papers and a few search modules. The class wasn't hard overall just got to make sure you do the work and watch the lectures other than that this class is a easy A. Side note read the rubric before starting your paper.

I would give her zero stars if possible. She is unnecessarily rude and a harsh grader if you point out her mistake and tell her to regrade. Listen, if you have to take this class to graduate on time and your only option is to take Courtney Douglass, GRADUATE LATE! She is the worst professor I have ever had. I would never recommend anyone taking her class.

By far the most condescending teacher I've met, she constantly begs for sympathy and guilt trips students, makes constant excuses to avoid accountability, harsh grader who seems to always have a reason to knock off points but never seems to remember the reason when asking for elaboration on points lost. This teacher will make you question if she loves or hates her job because she almost never up to date content and tends to recycle old material over and over again.

Pros: Easy A, extra credit opportunities, low commitment, most assignments can be completed using common sense, Prof Douglass is very empathetic and caring. Cons: She puts very little effort into the course, each week's work isn't usually posted until Wednesday, due dates change weekly, very slow and harsh grader, assignment instructions are not clear, class consists mostly of pointless discussions, lectures are very slow readings of slides with plenty of distractions, she often begs for attention and sympathy in lecture videos and emails which gets quite annoying. It seems like she puts more time into writing emails asking for sympathy than she does writing discussion prompts. The textbook is really bad and it seems like a lot of this course's content was made up on the spot because of how irrelevant it often is.

This course was very easy and chill (over the summer). Each week consisted of one open book/note/lecture quiz, one discussion post and two replies, and one ~300 word reflection. The final was a paper-- we had a few prompts to choose from and it was pretty easy, just writing about course concepts. This is separate from Prof. Rogers, but I don't feel like I learned much. I have this qualm with a lot of infosci classes. I feel like they definitely could put more content (that would be more useful too) into the course. Easy courses may be fun for my gpa but it also upsets me to think that I spent over a thousand just to take this class... Anyway if you have a tough semester, adding this class will hardly affect your workload.

Easy A if you follow the rubrics. Rachel is kind and responds to emails. The ELMS space was very organized and the powerpoints go over the concepts from the book so you dont have to read unless you want to. It was a good online class.
