TLDR: Not an "easy" A, but definitely hard to get below a B. Class attendance mandatory. No homework. Hard exams. Easy projects. Trakhman is an AMAZING professor who deserves 5 stars. Almost every lecture we had, I found engaging. She's very reasonable and understanding when communicating via email. Both of the projects are really easy to get a minimum B on, the last project you could not even try and get a 100%. Attendance is mandatory. Well, at least if you care about a participation grade and in-class activities. But they are fully online Zoom meetings twice a week. Not bad. No homework other than reading. Make sure you at least check the PDF she puts up because sometimes there is a hidden extra credit opportunity. Same thing with showing up for class. If you show up even just a few minutes early there's more than a 50% chance she'll give you an extra credit point for that day's participation grade. I think the worst thing about this class was the exams. We had two midterms, and they were difficult. Each exam consists of 4 question options, where you pick 3 to answer. Each is to be answered in about 250-350 words. No study guides. Since this is about educational psychology, she is obviously an expert in designing exams. She knows how to truly test your knowledge. Expect to not only know the concepts from class but also be able to apply them in detail. You can generally guess one of the exam questions based on what had been covered in class but the other few, to me at least, seemed to sometimes be things that weren't covered extensively. |

best prof ever. follow the syllabus/her instructions and you will do well. class is interesting but you should show up or else the exams would be hard. |
