Implicit in all considerations of race is the question of whether people of different races are genetically different from one another. The scientific answer to this question is "no". This course allows students to learn, discuss, and apply the scientific evidence for rejecting races as biological categories. The course covers basic biology, human evolution, human phylogenetics, and a critique of race as an explanation for human diversity and traits.
