Starting off this class I was completely overwhelmed because of how much work it contained. The class contains a lot of reading. You are supposed to read books and in some of the weekly assignments there are readings not just readings that are 1-2 pages but readings that are 10+ pages. The only nice thing about this class is that it is online and only for one day. I do not think this class is worth it for only a DVCC credit. Sometimes there is more than one assignment a week and the directions on the assignments and wording can be very confusing. This class caused me so much unnecessary stress for a gen-ed. There are 3 exams 2 midterms and a final (which is basically just a really long assignment) and they're all online which is a plus. |

Dr. Andrusik is one of my favorite professors here! The in-class discussions are very meaningful and super interesting. The amount of feedback she takes and applies makes sure that the course focuses on the areas that students are interested in and make you feel seen. The class work is related to the themes and questions asked throughout the semester and isn't busywork. If you get the chance, take this class! |

I absolutely adore Professor Gramlich! This class is so interesting, and she is a phenomenal professor. The class is organized extremely well, and she teaches very relevant and useful information regarding things like disability history, Universal Design, inclusivity, disability rights, and disability legislation. There is a service learning element to the course, and it works so well within it! Professor Gramlich is extremely responsive to emails, she is encouraging, and she is caring. She adjusts her teaching to student needs and suggestions, and makes the workload in class manageable. She often has a lot of interesting anecdotes and videos to show us related to disability, and it makes lectures so fun. There are lots of class discussions and most of the work is done outside of class, so just manage your time well! It is extremely easy to do well and even get extra credit. 100% cannot recommend her or this class enough. |

Kind, welcoming, and understanding are adjectives that best describe this professor. She gives thoughtful feedback and is willing to give extensions if you ask ahead of time. She genuinely cares about the students and want her students to succeed. She gives her students advice such as self-advocacy and does a great job educating the content. She makes the content engaging and fun. Most content is learned outside of class so make sure you keep up with the assignments and activities in each module. Best teacher you will come across throughout your college experience! |

Professor Gramlich is a very kind, understanding, and welcoming professor. If I'm being honest I barely heard anyone refer to her as professor Gramlich everyone referred to her as Meredith. She is very understanding and if you need an extension for an assignment she is very willing to give it to you as long as you ask ahead of time. She welcomes student feedback on how she can improve her teaching and she lives very positive feedback on assignments which can be very encouraging. Obtaining extra credit is easy if you give a thorough and thoughtful response to questions on assignments or quizzes given she will give you extra credit for the question. She truly cares about the students and cares about your success she gives a lot of advice as well as promoting self-advocacy! Highly recommend her she will be the nicest teacher you come across. |

I was a first-year student who switched into this class at the very last minute, so I was really behind on already missed assignments. However, Meredith was very accommodating and she practice what she preaches (as we learn about Universal Design for Learning) when she teaches. You can tell that she really cares about the course content. If you're unsure about something, she is very approachable takes into account student feedback. The workload is very doable as long as you just do it! You got this :) |

Great professor. She's knowledgeable, accomodating, and is really passionate about disability studies. Since the class met online only once a week, there was a fair amount of content to read/watch and assignments to do, but it was reasonable. Also, I found her rubrics pretty clear. As long as you put effort into the class and use critical thinking skills, you should get a good grade. |

Good teacher, very knowledgable and kind. This course was extremely disorganized (online) and she was never consistent with her wording/assignment requirements which caused a lot of unnecessary stress. |
