Rachel Ghosh EDHD320 Expecting a B+ Anonymous 03/25/2024	She does not provide clear guidelines for assignments, but simultaneously grades harshly. During group presentations, the entire class has to complete a "reflection" using questions she created. Even the groups presenting have to do reflections that day. I'm generally an A student, but her expectations have been more challenging than they need to be, considering the material is easy to understand.
Rachel Ghosh EDHD320 Anonymous 11/29/2023	I've never left a review for a professor, but the experience I've had in this class has been so, so bizarre. As other reviews have said, she grades WAY too harshly. The class material is interesting, and honestly really easy to understand, but she makes it next to impossible for you to succeed. This should be a simple class, but she makes your life much more difficult. She will not work with you if you need help or extra time on assignments, no matter the circumstance. I have never left a class feeling like I didn't get the grade I deserved, but I honestly feel that way with every single assignment. If you can avoid it, do NOT take her class. The course itself is really interesting, but you won't enjoy it with her at all. And, she WILL have unannounced graded in-class assignments that she won't let you make up.
Rachel Ghosh EDHD320 Anonymous 09/10/2023	The lectures are very informative but no matter how much effort I put into her class, she always gave me the grade that I thought was less than I deserved. Her grading is way too harsh. I received a 7/10 for an in class assignment that was supposed to be a less stress activity but it brought my grade down even though I put a lot of thought into it. She took apart each sentence, each detail that I included and asked to elaborate even MORE. If you're taking this class to fulfill an elective, don't. Switch when you can. I currently have to take this for my major which is the only reason why I'm staying and there are no other professors currently available.
Min Wang EDHD320 Expecting an A Anonymous 05/29/2023	The material was interesting but she didn’t really deliver it in a good way. She was unclear with her expectations major assignments and her exams were on info she barely talked about. She’s a nice person but not a great professor in that sense
Olga Walker EDHD320 Expecting an A- Anonymous 05/15/2023	This professor is not worth your time. While this class may look attractive since it is all online, her exams are weirdly hard and don't even test on lecture material. She is not flexible with students concerns, find another elective over this class.
Rachel Ghosh EDHD320 Expecting an A Anonymous 04/17/2023	compared to the other professor teaching this course during this semester, her expectations and grading was way harder. Other classes exams were fully online, ours were in person on lockdown. Graded a heavily weighted presentation super harshly. A lot of work (reading quizzes, unannounced graded in class activities, chapters where we have to teach ourself before class). This course was previously regarded as a relatively low stress class/ good option for an elective. Definitely not the case, but if youre taking for your major and youre prepared to put in effort shes a solid choice.
Jennie Lee-Kim EDHD320 Expecting an A Anonymous 12/22/2022	Amazing professor! Her class is engaging, and the work load is manageable. You do have to go to class but since it was only once a week it’s fine. Her tests are based on the lectures and textbook, and grading is fair. I highly recommend!
Jennie Lee-Kim EDHD320 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 11/29/2022	Dr. Lee-Kim is one of the best professors I have had at UMD so far. Her lectures are really engaging and the course content is so interesting. The online component is a little bit more work than expected but pretty manageable. The exams are open notes but on a lockdown browser. They are pretty easy, all of the content is from the lecture slides, the book, and the class presentations (which are also easy). I would recommend renting the book for the semester for the exams and you need it for the online assignments. I highly recommend this class, it has been one of my favorite classes so far!!
Jennie Lee-Kim EDHD320 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 12/04/2021	She is a really amazing professor! Her ELMs page is super organized, provides many useful resources for the class, and provides detailed outlines for assignments. She makes her lectures really engaging and fosters a really great discussion environment (very low-key and engaging). In addition, she is really attentive to all her students in her class and wants everyone to succeed. Highly recommend her!!

Alice Donlan EDHD320 Expecting an A ebane 12/16/2011	Not sure what the other reviewer was talking about but Alice is a fine teacher. Simply study the slides for the 3 tests, write an easy paper, and you get an A. Tests are crazy easy, especially because this class is basically PSYC100 but less studying and simple concepts. And she is always willing to help students if they have problems. Highly recommended for upper-level elective of any major
Sandra Loughlin EDHD320 Expecting an A Anonymous 02/17/2011	She is hands down the best teacher in CP! She is young, awesome, funny, and helpful. Her class is pretty easy. You have a few connection papers, online quizzes which are kind of tricky but don't count for much, and a ridiculously easy final. Every time you go to class you get a slip of paper with three or four multiple choice questions which will be on the final. I finished the final in 3 minutes. I HIGHLY suggest taking this class, you won't regret it!
Sandra Loughlin EDHD320 Expecting an A Sweetie 12/22/2010	Mrs Loughlin is a fantastic teacher. She really emphasizes interaction in the classroom and all of the assignments are very easy. We had three 2 page papers and quizzes and discussion elms every three weeks. Throughout the semester she gave us all the questions on the final so all we had to do was memorize. It was really interesting and she was a fun young teacher, not boring at all. Take this class with her!
Alice Donlan EDHD320 Anonymous 12/16/2010	She is a super nice lady, but I absolutely hated her! Grade is based off of a presentation, 3 tests (with short answers), a 5 page paper, and pop quizzes. Very hard short answer grader, which was my problem with her if you didn't write exactly what she wanted she would give you 0 credit. There are much better EDHD320 teachers, avoid Alice!
